Supporting Organizations in PoSH compliance
GENDER

The PoSH Compliance Initiative by Key Foundation supports organizations in constituting Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs), training staff, and ensuring compliance with the PoSH Act. Through structured sessions and client-friendly training aids, the program educates employees on their rights, complaint procedures, and workplace safety. By fostering gender-sensitive policies and accountability, this initiative helps create harassment-free, inclusive, and legally compliant workplaces
Workplace safety and dignity are fundamental rights for every employee, particularly women. To ensure a safe and harassment-free work environment, the Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act mandates that all organizations with more than 10 employees constitute Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) to address workplace harassment complaints. However, many organizations lack awareness or the necessary guidance to effectively implement these committees. Recognizing this gap, Key Foundation has been actively assisting organizations in constituting PoSH committees, training staff, and establishing a transparent complaint redressal process.
One of the major challenges in implementing the PoSH Act is the lack of proper training and awareness among employees and committee members. Key Foundation provides structured training sessions to ensure that employees understand their rights, the procedures for filing complaints, and the importance of a safe workplace culture. Additionally, it trains PoSH committee members on their roles, responsibilities, and the legal framework governing workplace harassment cases. These sessions demystify the enquiry process, documentation requirements, and procedural fairness, ensuring that organizations handle complaints with sensitivity, confidentiality, and compliance.
To make the learning process more engaging and practical, Key Foundation has developed client-friendly training aids that simplify complex legal jargon and make the subject more accessible. These training materials help organizations train their staff efficiently, ensuring that employees at all levels understand their rights and the complaint redressal mechanisms. The foundation also provides ongoing mentorship and support to PoSH committees, enabling them to effectively manage complaints, conduct inquiries, and uphold due process.

The importance of PoSH compliance goes beyond legal obligations—it is about fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and gender equality in the workplace. A well-trained PoSH committee not only helps prevent harassment but also instills trust and confidence among employees, making workplaces more productive and supportive. Organizations that actively implement strong anti-harassment policies are seen as progressive, ethical, and employee-friendly, enhancing their reputation and work culture.
By guiding organizations through the process of PoSH compliance, Key Foundation is playing a crucial role in creating safer work environments. Its training programs ensure that organizations not only meet legal mandates but also actively promote gender-sensitive workplace policies. This initiative empowers employees, strengthens organizational accountability, and contributes to a work culture where safety, respect, and dignity are prioritized.
