Key Foundation is a community-led organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable populations across urban and rural Tamil Nadu. We believe that sustainable transformation happens when people are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to shape their own futures.

Our work goes beyond awareness. We focus on building capacities, nurturing leadership, and shifting individuals from being beneficiaries to becoming decision-makers and entrepreneurs. By organizing women into Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and strengthening community institutions, we bridge the gap between grassroots needs and systemic resources.

For over 35 years, Mrs.Mercy has dedicated her life to working with communities, listening to their stories, and standing with them in their journey towards dignity and self-reliance. Her passion lies in empowering women to discover their strength, build livelihoods, and become leaders in their own spaces. Through Key Foundation, she continues to create not just programs, but lasting impact and hope.

She believes that sustainable change happens when communities are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to shape their own futures. Her work focuses on building strong grassroots institutions, strengthening access to social entitlements, and creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and financial independence. She has worked closely with sanitation workers and marginalized groups to improve their wellbeing, dignity, and access to rights. Guided by empathy and a systems-thinking approach, she continues to foster collaborations with government and partners to scale impact.
