Free Check-Up and Awareness Programs by Key Foundation addresses healthcare gaps for women and sanitation workers in underserved communities. Offering comprehensive screenings, specialized consultations, and tailored guidance, the initiative empowers participants to prioritize their physical and mental health. By providing curative and preventive care, it fosters healthier, more empowered individuals and communities

Healthcare access remains a critical challenge for economically weaker sections, especially among adolescents and women. Recognizing this need, the Key Foundation organized a Free Women’s Health Check-Up and Awareness Program in academic institutions, for sanitation workers and for women in rural and urban poor settlements. This initiative aimed to bridge healthcare gaps by providing both curative and preventive medical services, empowering women to take charge of their health.

The program provided comprehensive health screenings, including general medical check-ups, anthropometry, blood tests for hemoglobin, blood sugar, serum cholesterol, and urine tests. Advanced diagnostic tests such as liver function tests (LFT), kidney function tests (KFT), thyroid function tests (TSH), clinical breast examinations, and PAP smears for cervical cancer were also conducted. Beneficiaries received consultations with specialized doctors, including gynecologists, dermatologists, diabetologists, psychiatrists, and physiotherapists. A dietician further explained necessary food and lifestyle changes to promote holistic health improvement.

A key aspect of the program was the inclusion of free health camps for sanitation workers, who often face unique occupational health risks. These camps provided specialized consultations and screenings, ensuring that their physical and mental health concerns were addressed. Tailored guidance on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care was provided to help them lead healthier lives while recognizing their invaluable contribution to public health.

In addition to medical services, the program emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups and preventive care. Women and sanitation workers were sensitized to prioritize their health and make informed decisions. By bringing healthcare to the doorstep of underserved communities and offering access to specialized consultations, the Key Foundation’s initiative is transforming lives. It is paving the way for healthier, more empowered individuals who can lead their families and communities towards a brighter future.
