District Level Collaborations for Climate Action

Climate change is an urgent and shared challenge that requires collective action across institutions and communities. Recognizing this, Key Foundation has been actively working at the district level in collaboration with the Climate Change Mission and the Forest Department. Through these partnerships, the Foundation has contributed to strengthening awareness and building a deeper understanding of climate-related issues among diverse groups.

As part of this initiative, Key Foundation has supported the design and facilitation of awareness programs for a wide range of stakeholders, including Self-Help Group (SHG) leaders, residential associations, school teachers, and college students. These sessions are tailored to suit each group, ensuring that complex concepts around climate change are communicated in simple, relatable, and practical ways. The focus has been on helping participants understand how climate change impacts their daily lives and what actions they can take at an individual and community level.

The programs are highly participatory, encouraging dialogue, reflection, and shared learning. Participants are not only exposed to information but are also engaged in discussions around local environmental challenges, sustainable practices, and collective responsibility. This approach helps translate awareness into action, with individuals and groups beginning to adopt environmentally conscious behaviours within their communities.

These efforts have laid a strong foundation for climate awareness at the district level and Key Foundation remains committed to building informed, responsible, and climate-resilient communities.
